All oneworld member airlines serving Barcelona will transfer operations into Terminal 1 9th September 2009.
Five of the alliance's carriers fly to the airport (American Airlines, Iberia, British Airways, Finnair and Royal Jordanian) where the majority of them will have adjoining check-in desks. With 101 boarding gates, 43 air bridges and more than a hundred shops, bars and restaurants, the terminal will be able to handle 30 million passengers a year.

Until then American Airlines will still operate from Terminal T2A at Barcelona Airport.
