American Airlines sponsor of the 'WE WANT MILES' exhibition
Like jazz music and American musicians, American Airlines has had a longstanding love affair with Paris and France that has spanned several decades.
Over the years, American Airlines has often sponsored prestigious music events in France. Of the numerous in-flight music programmes available, the selection of jazz music prepared by our company always proves especially popular with our passengers.
That's why American Airlines is particularly happy to be associated with the prestigious "We Want Miles" exhibition; an event that will enable enthusiasts and fans of all ages to discover or rediscover the career of Miles Davis spanning over half a century (1926 to 1991).
This magnificent exhibition, which is being held at the Cité de la Musique from 16 October 2009 to 17 January 2010, will trace the musical career and personal life of Miles Davis, from his childhood in Saint-Louis to the concert he played in 1991 on the La Villette site itself, just a few weeks before he died.
American Airlines would like to invite all jazz enthusiasts and fans of music legends to come and enjoy this unique exhibition.
