Online Check-In
Online Check-In is available from the convenience of your home or the office saving you time at the airport. You can check in online* using your name and booking reference, or by simply logging into your AAdvantage account.
If you are flying from Dublin, you can check in online between 4 April and 27 October 2012, if the first flight in your itinerary is operated by American Airlines.
We recommend you to be at the airport 3 hours before your flight departs due to the need for pre-clear US Customs and Immigration in Dublin Airport before boarding your flight. This process allows American Airlines passengers to be considered as US domestic passengers upon arrival in Chicago. If in transit to another city, passengers do not need to claim or re-check their bags and connections are faster and smoother.
Mobile Boarding Passes are not permitted from Dublin airport due to US Preclearance process.
Please note that if you are travelling with infants you will only be able to check in at the airport check-in desks.
International Flights

You can check in online between 2 to 24 hours prior to the departure of your international flight
U.S. Domestic Flights

When flying within the U.S., including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Online Flight Check-In is available anytime between 1 and 24 hours prior to departure

Self-Service Check-In
Our airport Self-Service Check-In machines offer a quick and convenient way to check in, select a seat, check bags, get a boarding pass and obtain an electronic receipt. Please note that Self-Service Check-In will be available at Dublin Airport between 4 April and 27 October 2012.
