American Airlines has renewed its partnership with Olimpia Milano. This popular basketball team from Milan was found in 1936 and is owned by designer Giorgio Armani.
Today they are one of the most successful clubs in Europe with an impressive collection of titles.

These include:

  • 25 Italian Championships
  • 3 European Champions Cups
  • 4 Italian National Cups
  • 1 Intercontinental Cup
  • 3 Saporta Cups
  • 2 Korać Cups

This season they've signed some top players, including Danilo Gallinari, the Italian NBA star player. They also welcome a new team manager Sergio Scariolo, who led the Spainish National Basketball Team to their second European Championship title. Olimpia Milano continues to play at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago and in 2011/12 will compete in the following leagues:

  • Italian Championship
  • Euroleague
  • Lega Basket Serie A
