Where do I go once I’ve arrived at the airport?
Once you’ve arrived at Milan Malpensa airport, follow the green marked signs on how to connect which will lead you to the correct gate for your onward flight.
What happens if I do not have a boarding pass?
If you are connecting onto an American Airlines flight and you do not have a boarding pass please see and American Airlines representative at the boarding gate.
Do I have to pick up my luggage or re check-in again?
If your bags have been labelled to your final destination and you were given a boarding pass for your onward flight then your luggage will be taken care of.
How do I get between Terminals?
It takes approximately 25 minutes walking time to connect between Terminal 1 - gates A and B.
Please note that American Airlines is not within the Schengen area.

At Milan Malpensa airport American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia depart from Terminal 1.

XClose Travelling To / From Milan Airport
When travelling to the airport, please allow yourself plenty of time. To help you on your way we have some travel suggestions below, but please check with the relevant operator before setting off to ensure you have the most up to date information.
Bus
To and from Milan Airport you have several bus service options that link locations around Milan and beyond. For arriving passengers there is also the Malpensa Shuttle which departs from Terminal 1 and takes you into Central Milan Station.

Car
As you approach the airport take the A8 then the SS336. The terminals are clearly indicated.
There is short and long stay parking available near Terminal 1 along with pick-up and drop-off areas outside the terminals.

Taxi
Licensed taxis are available outside both arrival terminals at Milan airport. It takes about 1 hour to get to/from central Milan.
Train
If you are planning to take the train to or from the airport there are 2 ways - the Malpensa Express and the Trenitalia. The journey on Malpensa Express trains takes around 30 minutes. Trenitalia services take around 40 minutes.
