About Us

On April 15, 1926, Charles Lindbergh, Robertson Aircraft Corporation's chief pilot flew a bag of mail in a DH-4 biplane from Chicago to St. Louis. This flight is regarded as the first regularly scheduled flight of what was to become American Airlines. Today we fly our passengers to over 250 destinations in 40 countries with, on average, more than 3,400 daily flights. The combined network aircraft numbers more than 900 fleets. With almost 80 years experience behind us, we deliver around 94 million customers to their destinations each year. To learn more about American Airlines' history, click here*
