AMR Corp Partners With American Red Cross to Support Relief Efforts in Haiti

Three American Eagle Relief Flights Bring 30,000 Pounds of Supplies to Earthquake Victims

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines and American Eagle, is partnering with the American Red Cross to provide aid to people affected by Tuesday's earthquake in Haiti. AAdvantage members can help by donating to the Red Cross, and donations will help the not-for-profit organization provide shelter, food and other assistance to earthquake victims.

Starting on Jan. 14, 2010, AAdvantage members can earn a one-time award of 250 bonus AAdvantage miles for a minimum donation of $50 or 500 bonus miles for a donation of $100 or more to the American Red Cross through Feb. 28, 2010. Check AA.com, tomorrow, for details.

In addition, American and American Eagle have already started sending aid into Haiti to provide relief for its more than 100 employees who work at Toussaint Louverture International Airport and for assistance at local hospitals in Port-au-Prince. Three American Eagle aircraft arrived in Port-au-Prince today providing 30,000 pounds of supplies, including water, food and other non-perishable goods. Three relief missions each day are planned for Thursday and Friday. Employees throughout American's system have already set in motion efforts to aid earthquake victims by raising funds and providing assistance.

Due to the earthquake, American Airlines is offering customers the convenience to change their plans. Customers ticketed to travel on flights to or from the areas listed may change flights as shown without penalty.
