Earning AAdvantage Miles

LAN Logo Earn applicable base miles each time you purchase and fly on a published eligible fare ticket on LAN Airlines, a member of oneworld® (including affiliates LAN Express, LAN Peru, LAN Argentina, and LAN Ecuador). AAdvantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum®, or AAdvantage Gold® members will earn a minimum of 500 miles on eligible fare tickets*.

Qualifying miles, points and segments count toward AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum, and AAdvantage Gold status and bonuses. To attain AAdvantage elite status, a member must fly on at least four American Airlines or American Eagle flights within the qualifying year. Flight mileage may not accrue on flights operated by carriers other than oneworld carriers.

*500-mile minimum does not apply to LAN Ecuador flights between Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador. These flights do not have a minimum mileage guarantee.

Flights to/from Cuba are not eligible for mileage accrual or redemption.

Missing Mileage Credit
Please allow up to thirty (30) days for AAdvantage mileage to automatically post to your account.

Request Mileage Credit Online
To request missing mileage credit for flights flown on LAN Airlines (including LAN Express), LAN Argentina, LAN Ecuador, or LAN Peru, complete an online mileage request form. When completing this form, choose LAN Airlines, LAN Argentina, LAN Ecuador, or LAN Peru from the "Select Airline Flown" drop-down menu.
