Important Program Updates
- As of November 10, 2009, Mexicana became a member of the oneworld® alliance. All eligible flight activity from this date forward will count towards AAdvantage elite status qualification.

Earning AAdvantage Miles
- Earn AAdvantage miles each time you purchase and fly on a published eligible fare ticket on Mexicana (see table below).
- Exceptions
- Flights to/from Cuba are not eligible for mileage accrual or redemption.
- To ensure that your AAdvantage account is properly credited for your flight, please provide your AAdvantage number when making your reservation or anytime prior to your flight.
- Mexicana is a oneworld® alliance member.
- AAdvantage Elite Qualification
- As a member of the oneworld alliance, earn elite-qualifying points, miles, and segments when you purchase eligible fare tickets and fly on Mexicana and its oneworld airline affiliates.
- To attain AAdvantage elite status, you must fly at least four American Airlines or American Eagle® flights within the qualifying year.
- As an AAdvantage elite member you can receive many benefits† on Mexicana and other oneworld alliance members.
- Codeshare Flights
- Mexicana codeshare flights operated by oneworld carriers and oneworld affiliates are eligible for mileage accrual.
- Eligible Mexicana Fare Classes*
- Purchased fares booked in Classes not shown in the chart below are ineligible to earn AAdvantage mileage credit. Certain additional rules apply to earning AAdvantage miles. View the AAdvantage Terms and Conditions for complete details.
