The Lowest Price Guarantee on aa.com applies to customers who first make a qualifying airfare purchase on (i) American Airlines (ii) American Eagle® carriers and do so through use of the aa.com website. If a lower total airfare of $5 or greater inclusive of all taxes and fees is found on another U.S. point-of-sale travel web site for the exact same Eligible Carrier flight(s), itinerary, date(s) and cabin and with same fare rules and restrictions after purchasing the ticket on aa.com, and if all of the additional requirements and conditions set forth below are satisfied, the full difference in the fares will be refunded to the credit card used for the original purchase on aa.com. In addition, American Airlines will issue a Promotion Code in the amount of $50, redeemable toward a future Eligible Carrier one way* or round-trip**purchase. The Promotion Code would be valid one year from date of issue and all terms and conditions related to the Promotion Code apply to usage. Promotion Codes will not be replaced for any reason and will be considered fully used once payment has been tendered and a reservation is confirmed, regardless if it is later cancelled. To utilize the Promotion Code on a future purchase, the minimum base fare of the itinerary must be the same or higher amount than the Promotion Code amount. Future reservations using a Promotion Code must be booked on aa.com only and contain only one person in the reservation. Additional passengers must be booked separately. The promotion code cannot be used to book a reservation for children less than fifteen (15) years of age.
*One-way travel is defined as travel from your city TO a destination with no deviations.
**Round-trip travel is defined as travel from your city TO a destination, and FROM such destination back to the city where you originated

Requirements

For a claim to be valid under the Lowest Price Guarantee, it must satisfy all terms and conditions and be submitted in compliance with the claims processing procedures, all as set out herein. The Lowest Price Guarantee is available to any customer who first makes a qualifying airfare purchase at the aa.com website. The Lowest Price Guarantee is valid only for lower fares found online for the exact same Eligible Carrier flight(s), itinerary (including flight number(s)), date(s) and cabin and with same fare rules and restrictions and available for purchase on the same calendar day as the original aa.com online purchase. The Lowest Price Guarantee applies only to U.S. point-of-sale with travel originating in the domestic 50 United States for tickets purchased on aa.com. The guarantee applies to tickets purchased using a valid credit card with a United States billing address and on itineraries wholly operated by American Airlines or American Eagle carriers and does not include codeshare flights. The claim must be submitted by midnight Central Time of the same calendar day you purchased your ticket on aa.com. American Airlines must be able to verify the lower online published fare at the time of claim review and that the lower fare does not exist on aa.com. The confirmed total airfare you purchased on aa.com will be compared to the available total airfare on the other site inclusive of all taxes and fees in both instances, which must be an accredited distributor of Eligible Carrier airfare. Fares must be compared with like fare restrictions, so for example, if an unrestricted airfare is purchased on aa.com, it will not qualify for the Lowest Price Guarantee if compared to a restricted airfare found on another website. The Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to lower airfares that are available on aa.com or to refundable tickets that you choose to refund.

Claim form processing

To submit a claim, fill out all required fields on the claim form. Only one claim may be submitted per qualifying airfare purchase. Following submission of a claim, someone from American Airlines Customer Service will contact you via email. If we are unable to replicate the lower airfare, we may request additional information and documentation (such as a screen shot) from you in order to verify the lower online airfare. Any such additional information must be submitted promptly thereafter. Please keep a copy of all such documentation. American Airlines reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be reasonably verified, or for which you have provided incomplete information. Claims may be submitted only via the online claim form at aa.com and not through any other email address or any American Airlines phone number or facsimile number.

Exceptions

The Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to unpublished fares. Unpublished fares are those not available to the general public and include, but are not limited to, wholesaler or consolidator fares, corporate, military, government, contract, or other discounted fares. The Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to package fares, including but not limited to airfares sold as part of a travel package, nor does it apply to airfares where the carrier or itinerary details are unknown until after purchase. The Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to airfares on another website that have been reduced as a result of promotional discounts, such as dollars off coupons, loyalty program discounts or fly "free" offers nor does it apply to differences of less than $5.

Other conditions

Void where prohibited by law. American Airlines reserves the right to modify or cancel the Lowest Price Guarantee at any time without prior notice. Any modification will be effective upon posting of modified Lowest Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions on the aa.com website. Any cancellation will be effective upon removal of references to the Lowest Price Guarantee and the Lowest Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions from the aa.com website. If the Lowest Price Guarantee is canceled for any reason, the Promotion Codes previously issued will continue to be valid until their expiration date. FN1 American Eagle® service is operated by Envoy Air Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc., ExpressJet Airlines, Inc., or Republic Airline Inc.

Vacations

Book a flight and hotel or flight and car package with aa.com or AAVacations.com and if you find a lower price for the same package on another website within 24 hours of making a reservation, we'll refund you the difference in price and give you a $50 discount code to use on the next trip you book on AAVacations.com.

Requirements

Packages must include a flight plus either hotel or car rental booked within one transaction, and must be exactly the same as the lower rate found: Flight — same airline and cabin, flight numbers, flight times, origin, destination, number of passengers, and days and dates of travel Hotel — same hotel, room category, length of stay, hotel plan, number of people in room, and destination Car Rental — same car rental company, car type/class, number of car rental days, and destination. You must contact us to claim your refund within 24 hours of your package purchase and prior to your flight check-in. At the time you contact us, the lower rate must be available for booking online. The lower rate found must have a comparable cancellation policy. (For example, if you booked a cancellable published price hotel room, a lower rate non-cancellable room at the same hotel will not qualify for a the Low Price Guarantee claim). You must have first booked a package with American Airlines. You will need your package booking number as proof of purchase.

Claim form processing

To file a Lowest Price Guarantee claim please visit www.aavacations.com/lowestpriceguarantee fill out the required information and submit the form. Information. Your claim will be reviewed and American Airlines will, at its discretion, determine whether you have met the requirements for the refund. The decision made by American Airlines is final. Applicable refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of representative confirmation; only one refund per qualifying purchase will be allowed. American Airlines will issue a Promotion Code in the amount of $50 redeemable toward a future air inclusive Vacation Package. The Promotion Code would be valid one year from date of issue and all terms and conditions related to the Promotion Code apply to usage. Lowest Price Guarantee applies only to the package rate and does not include any charges for Taxes and Service Fees, booking fees, or similar charges by any other online service. Travel insurance charges are also not included.

Cars

You'll always get a great deal when booking your rental car on aa.com, we guarantee it. Simply reserve your car on aa.com and within 24 hours, you find a lower eligible rate on another website for the exact same rental we'll match it or credit you the difference.

Requirements

To qualify, the same comparison rate must have been found using the same rental car company, car type, pick-up/drop-off location, reservation dates and pick-up/drop-off times. The rate differential must be based on the base rate of the vehicle, and cannot include taxes, fuel, surcharges or any other ancillary charges. The aa.com car booking must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your rental. The guarantee only applies to published rates found on U.S. based websites for rentals at U.S. and Canadian rental locations.

Claim form processing

Within 24 hours of booking, should a lower published rate be found on a site other than aa.com, a completed claim form must be electronically submitted on aa.com. aa.com will verify the comparison rate of your claim and will notify you of the results. Because of this verification process, you must book at least 48 hours in advance. If the eligible lower rate is matched an email will be sent to you confirming the new rate. If a refund is issued you will receive it in the form of a voucher redeemable toward your next flight booked on aa.com. All requests are subject to verification by aa.com. We will not accept screenshots or other purported evidence of a lower price that we cannot independently confirm. Nor will we verify any request that we believe is the result of a printing or other error or is made fraudulently or in bad faith.

Exceptions

The Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to rates from car rental companies different than the one the initial booking was made with or rates involving pre-negotiated rates/discounts, coupons, upgrade offers, rentals beyond 28 days, or insurance replacement prices. Promotional rates not made available to the general public, pre-paid reservations, and member rates such as AAA, government, corporate, et-cetera are also not eligible. Inclusive or package rates that may include a car and other travel products or rates found on auction websites or sites which do not display the name of the car rental company until after purchase are also ineligible for the guarantee. Void where prohibited by law. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the guarantee at any time without prior notice.

Hotels

Offer

We offer you peace of mind that our rates will be the lowest you can find with our Lowest Price Guarantee. Call us or submit the Lowest Price Guarantee request form online if, within 24 hours of booking your hotel on aa.com, you find a lower rate, (excluding taxes and fees) available publicly online for the same dates at the same hotel in the same room category for your existing hotel reservation. If you qualify, we will either help you cancel your reservation so you can re-book at the lower price, or we will refund 100% of the difference.

Requirements

All hotels booked online at aa.com are eligible for our Lowest Price Guarantee. To file a claim you will need your aa.com confirmation number as proof of purchase. To qualify, the lower rate found must be found online (including websites operated by aa.com, other travel websites and hotel supplier sites) for the same number of rooms and room type at the same hotel as booked through aa.com for the same check-in and check-out dates, and must also have a comparable cancellation policy. (For example, if you booked a cancellable published price hotel room, a lower rate non-cancellable room at the same hotel will not qualify for a Lowest Price Guarantee claim). You must contact us to claim your refund prior to your check-in date and within 24 hours of your aa.com hotel purchase. At the time you contact us, the lower rate must be available for booking. We will not accept screenshots or other purported evidence of a lower price that we cannot independently confirm. Nor will we verify any request that we believe is the result of a printing or other error or is made fraudulently or in bad faith.

Claim form processing

If your aa.com booking meets the requirements, submit your request online using the Lowest Price Guarantee Request Form or call us at 800-960-7163 within 24 hours of your hotel purchase. Your claim will be reviewed and aa.com will, at its discretion, determine whether you have met the requirements for the refund. The decision made by aa.com is final. Applicable refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of representative confirmation; only one refund per qualifying purchase will be allowed. Credits are issued directly to the credit card provided at time of booking. It may take up to 30 days or the next billing cycle for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.

Exceptions

The guarantee applies only to rates available to the general public. It does not apply to membership or corporate rates or special discounted rates including AARP, employee, military, government, convention rates or other private rates not available to the general public. An example of a private rate is the special hotel rate offered on the aa.com flight finish page, (appearing directly after payment information is submitted when booking a flight). These rates are only available to customers who have just booked a flight on aa.com. The guarantee does not apply to hotel rooms purchased through or in combination with frequent stay, loyalty, points or other "reward" type programs, rooms purchased through coupon promotions, won through contests or sweepstakes or transferred. The Lowest Price Guarantee applies to the rate for room nights only. The Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply if aa.com or the hotel refunds or cancels all or any portion of your reserved room nights for any reason. Promotional packages, deals, or bundles that may include additional amenities such as parking, meals, entertainment, etc. are not eligible. Lowest Price Guarantee applies only to the room rate and does not include any charges for Taxes and Service Fees or similar charges by any other online service. Travel insurance charges are also not included. Additional restrictions may apply. aa.com is the final authority on interpretation of these rules. aa.com reserves the right to determine whether a claim qualifies for cancellation or a refund of 100% of the difference in the room night cost. aa.com reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be reasonably verified, or for which incomplete information has been provided. aa.com reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time without notice.

Cruises

American Airlines Cruises is happy to match any cruise price. If you find a lower price, on another website or print advertisement within 48 hours of booking with American Airlines Cruises, and the conditions are satisfied, we will refund 110% of the difference.

Requirements

To claim a refund, you must contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-259-5642 prior to your sailing date and within 48 hours of your American Airlines Cruises purchase. Provide us the details of the lower retail rate; it must be a price found online for the same cruise (same ship, number of people, sailing dates, cabin category) that you purchased through the American Airlines Cruises site. The Lowest Price Guarantee applies only to rates available to the general public. You must have first purchased a cruise from the American Airlines Cruises program. You must meet all requirements for the lower advertised rate (residency requirements for regional specials, age-related discounts, etc.). Our Lowest Price Guarantee applies only to the cost of the cruise (including port charges). The lower advertised rate must be available for booking at the time you contact us.

Claim form processing

If you find a lower price, call our Customer Service Department toll-free at 1-800-259-5642. One of our Customer Service representatives will determine whether you have met the necessary requirements and process your refund if the lower rate is still available. If your refund request is approved, the credit card used to purchase your cruise will be credited 110% of the price difference within 2-4 weeks of final approval. American Airlines Cruises is solely responsible for servicing and fulfilling on all valid claims.

Exceptions

It does not apply to consolidator, group, incentive, interline, meeting, or convention rates that are not available to the general public. Promotional packages, group deals, air or land components, shipboard credit, transfers, pre- or post-cruise hotel stays, and shore excursions are not eligible. Taxes and fees, which vary by itinerary, are not included. American Airlines Cruises reserves the right to modify or cancel the Lowest Price Guarantee at any time without prior notice or liability to you. American Airlines Cruises reserves the right to refuse the refund should you not be able to provide us with positive proof of a competitor's lower price or for any errors in prices by the competition.

Activities

Offer

If you find a lower price for the same tour or activity offered by the same operator (priced in the same currency) within 72 hours of booking, send us the details and we'll refund the price difference. No gimmicks, no exceptions. We also protect you against arriving at a destination and finding the same tour or activity offered at a lower price from our operator. If you do happen to find a lower price direct from our operator, simply send us the details and we'll refund the price difference.

Requirements

Qualifying purchases must be made through the aa.com Activity site. Qualifying purchases must include a minimum purchase of U.S. $20 (or equivalent). If you find a lower retail or prepaid rate for the same tour or activity, offered on the same date and priced in the same currency as your original purchase, on any other website within 72 hours following your confirmed reservation on aa.com, we will refund the difference. Upon arrival into your destination, if you find a lower retail price offered by aa.com's contracted operator for the same tour or activity, offered on the same date, aa.com will refund the difference.

Claim form processing

To submit a refund request, send an email to carhoteltech@aa.com with your name, Booking Number or Itinerary Reference Number and your home address, plus proof (receipt, price list, flyer, web address or web screen shot, etc.) of the lower price. aa.com reserves the right to verify details of the lower price where possible. All refund decisions will be made at the sole discretion of aa.com. Refunds of the price difference will be processed to the credit card used for the original booking.

Exceptions
