Introducing new ways to meet your elite status goal for 2014

The 2014 AAdvantage® elite status qualification year ended on December 31, and we know some of you may not have reached your goal. That's why we're offering you two ways to elevate your status for 2014.

Boost: For the first time ever, if you ended 2013 close to AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum, or Gold status but didn't quite make it, you can boost to the next level.

Renew: If you were an elite status member in 2013 but weren't able to retain your status by the end of the year, you are eligible for a status renewal.

Which elite status level is within your reach for 2014? New ways to meet your elite status goal. You're eligible for an elite status boost if you ended 2013 within: 5,000 elite-qualifying miles, points, or 5 segments of reaching Gold; or 10,000 elite-qualifying miles, points, or 10 segments of reaching Platinum or Executive Platinum. If you don't fall within boost range, and you held Executive Platinum, Platinum or Gold Status  that expired on February 28, 2014, then you are eligible for an elite status renewal. Gold status boost: available for $399 if you ended 2013 with 20,000 – 24,999 elite-qualifying miles, points or 25-29 segments. Gold status renewal: Available for $649 to members who held Gold, Platinum or Executive Platinum status that expired on February 28, 2014, and who are not within boost range. Gold status normally requires 25,000 elite-qualifying miles, points or 30 segments. Platinum status boost: available for $899 if you ended 2013 with 40,000 – 44,999 elite-qualifying miles, points or 50-54 segments. Also available for $699 if you ended 2013 with 45,000 – 49,999 elite-qualifying miles, points or 55-59 segments. Platinum status renewal: Available for $1,199 to members who held Platinum or Executive Platinum status that expired on February 28, 2014, and who are not within boost range. Platinum status normally requires 50,000 elite-qualifying miles, points or 60 segments. Executive Platinum status boost: available for $1,799 if you ended 2013 with 90,000 – 94,999 elite-qualifying miles, points or 90-94 segments. Also available for $1,199 if you ended 2013 with 95,000 – 99,999 elite-qualifying miles, points or 95-99 segments. An Executive Platinum status renewal option is not available outside of boost range. See the Platinum or Gold renewal options. Executive Platinum normally requires 100,000 elite-qualifying miles, points or 100 segments.

Once you complete your purchase, your account will be updated with your new elite status level within 5 business days and your new credentials will mail within 3-4 weeks.  Elite status membership obtained through this special offer will be valid through February 28, 2015.
