AAdvantage® miles may be earned on purchases made by the Primary Cardmember and Authorized Users. AAdvantage® miles earned will be posted to the AAdvantage Business™ account in 8–10 weeks.

As a business owner, you can view all miles earned in the AAdvantage Business™ travel management portal.

No, AAdvantage Business™ miles do not expire as long as the card account is open.

Your card account is directly linked to your company’s AAdvantage Business™ account to earn AAdvantage® miles. Businesses that close their Citi® / AAdvantage Business™ or other eligible Citi® / AAdvantage® small business credit card account (Primary or Authorized User) will no longer earn miles from other eligible business purchases. Primary Cardmembers and registered Authorized Users will also stop earning additional Loyalty Points.

After your account is closed:

The AAdvantage Business™ account remains active and will be subject to program threshold requirements and miles expiration. Your miles will expire after 24 months of inactivity on your AAdvantage Business™ account.

If you’d like to close your AAdvantage Business™ account, contact the AAdvantage Business™ team once your eligible credit card account has been closed.

Employees may be added to your account as Authorized Users. An Authorized User is an employee or contractor of the business added to the card account with a card provided with that person’s name.

To add an Authorized User:

Log in to Citi.com, Use the Citi® mobile app, or Contact Citi® using the number on the back of your card.

No, there’s no fee to add an employee as an Authorized User to your card account.

No separate registration is needed. When you add an employee as an Authorized User, they’re automatically added as a business traveler under your AAdvantage Business™ account.

We recommend registering all Authorized Users so they can earn Loyalty Points on eligible business card purchases.

Once the Primary Cardmember registers you in the AAdvantage Business™ travel management portal, you'll receive an email on how to register. Follow the instructions to complete your AAdvantage Business™ profile. Then, you can start earning additional Loyalty Points on eligible business travel with American Airlines and purchases you make as an Authorized User on the eligible credit card.

If you haven't received an invitation to join the AAdvantage Business™ program, speak with your company's Primary Cardmember or Travel Manager.

You can manage or remove Authorized Users by contacting Citi or by logging in to your Citi account. Once they're removed from the credit card account, Travel Managers can remove the traveler (employee) from the business account in the travel management portal.
