Overview of subscription plans

  • One month of access to internet service on American Airlines / American Eagle flights equipped with Gogo, Panasonic or Viasat internet service in the regions below.
  • The subscription plans offered by American Airlines are regional plans. The subscription plans covered by these terms of sale are valid only on flights operating (1) within the United States or (2) between the United States and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Central America, in each case ((1) and (2)) where network coverage is available.
  • During the monthly subscription plan period, you’ll be able to access internet service as described above simply by signing into your AAdvantage® account.
  • There are two monthly subscription plans available. One plan offers access by just one device at a time. With the other plan (the two-device plan), you may access the internet using two devices simultaneously on the same flight.
  • To purchase, you must have an AAdvantage® account with a valid stored primary credit card or other supported form of payment with a billing address in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia (such a valid card or form of payment, a “Valid Primary Card”). Please note that certain credit cards or other payment forms may not be used for subscription plan purchases and that credit cards or other payment forms with billing addresses in U.S. territories such as Guam and Puerto Rico do not qualify. Access will start immediately once your purchase is complete.
  • Automatic renewal each month with the ability to cancel anytime as described below.
  • Your subscription plan is personal to you and non-transferrable and non-sublicensable. Sharing your subscription plan or subscription credentials with any person or entity is prohibited, unless expressly pre-approved by American Airlines.

Important notes about subscription plans and internet access and service

  • Purchase of your subscription plan is non-refundable (except as set forth below or as required by applicable law).
  • By purchasing a subscription plan, you authorize American Airlines to automatically charge your Valid Primary Card each month on or around your monthly renewal date for the applicable subscription plan fee and any applicable taxes, in U.S. dollars, until cancellation of your subscription plan, as described below. If you change your Valid Primary Card in your AAdvantage® account, you authorize American Airlines to automatically charge your new Valid Primary Card each month on or around your monthly renewal date for the foregoing amounts. If, after purchase, you cease to maintain (1) an AAdvantage® account, for example, because American terminates your account due to inactivity, or (2) a Valid Primary Card in your AAdvantage® account, for example, by substituting a credit card that does not have a billing address in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, your subscription plan will be cancelled. In addition, if you revoke authorization to charge your Valid Primary Card, or if for any reason your Valid Primary Card issuer does not submit payment, American Airlines may cancel your subscription plan or suspend your use of your subscription plan.
  • The monthly renewal date will typically be the same day of the month that you first purchased your subscription plan (or, if you are moving from an existing subscription plan for internet service on American Airlines / American Eagle flights, the date on which you first purchased that original subscription plan). We may change the applicable subscription plan fee by providing you notice at least 10 days in advance of the next payment by e-mail to the primary e-mail address saved in your AAdvantage® account. The new subscription plan fee will apply to your next full monthly billing period after the fee change takes effect.   • If you wish to cancel your subscription plan and avoid a charge for the next monthly period, you must do so at least two (2) days before the monthly renewal date for your subscription plan. If you do not cancel at least two (2) days before your monthly renewal date, but you do cancel on or before your monthly renewal date, contact Customer Care for a refund. If you cancel after your monthly renewal date, you will be charged for the current monthly period, and your cancellation will then be effective at the end of that monthly period. You may use your subscription plan until cancellation is effective, but except as set forth above, your subscription plan is non-refundable.
  • Any notice or other communication regarding your subscription plan that we may initiate will be sent to the primary e-mail address saved in your AAdvantage® account. American Airlines reserves the right to amend, cancel or modify these terms of sale at any time upon notice to you at such primary e-mail or cancel your subscription plan at any time; provided, that we will provide you with at least 10 days advance notice of any price change as set forth above.
  • Your monthly charges can be viewed and printed from the receipts page on aa.com, located at the link below labeled “Receipts”. American Airlines will not send you a monthly or annual statement for your subscription plan.

Receipts

  • Internet access and service using your subscription plan will be provided by one of three third-party internet service providers (Gogo, Panasonic or Viasat), depending on the specific eligible flight.
  • Access to internet service will be available either gate-to-gate or only above 10,000 feet, again depending on the specific eligible flight. On each eligible flight, an announcement will generally be made when access to internet service is available.
  • Your subscription plan is subject to the American Airlines Terms of Use, which supplement and form a part of these terms of sale, and to the American Airlines Privacy Policy. In addition, the American Airlines policies regarding the use of electronic devices inflight apply, and American Airlines may have other policies that restrict certain uses or otherwise apply. Additional restrictions may apply to your subscription plan and usage of internet and / or other connectivity services.

Access and use of the internet service is also subject to the applicable third-party internet service provider's (Gogo’s, Panasonic’s or Viasat’s) terms of service / use and privacy policy.
