Envoy is headquartered in Irving, Texas, with hubs and maintenance facilities in Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, New York and Miami. Other facilities are in Abilene, Texas; Bentonville and Little Rock, Arkansas; Columbus, Ohio; Marquette, Michigan; and Springfield, Missouri.
Piedmont Airlines, Inc. operates daily regional flights to the eastern U.S. from hubs in Charlotte and Philadelphia.
Crews are based in Philadelphia and customer service centers operate in 80 locations around the U.S. Maintenance facilities are in Harrisburg and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia and Ocean City, Maryland.
PSA Airlines Inc. operates nearly 150 aircraft on 700 daily flights to 90 domestic destinations. The company's more than 3,500 employees provide regional air service to American from stations around the U.S.
PSA is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, with flight crew bases in Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio; Knoxville, Tennessee; Washington, D.C and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Maintenance facilities are in Dayton, Canton and Cincinnati, Ohio; Charlotte, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Norfolk, Virginia and Savannah, Georgia.
In February 2010, American Airlines and Japan Airlines (JAL) filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for antitrust immunity to create a closer relationship and a joint business agreement governing the operation of their flights between North America and Asia.
On October 6, 2010, the DOT granted the two airlines tentative antitrust immunity approval and permission to operate a joint business across the Pacific.
Today, American and JAL coordinate fares, services and schedules, offer customers reciprocal frequent flyer benefits and grant eligible customers access to the airport lounges of both airlines.
On July 20, 2010, American, British Airways and Iberia received approval from the DOT to create a joint business governing flights between North America and Europe. As a result of the antitrust immunity, they expanded their global cooperation.
Finnair joined the partnership in 2013 and Philadelphia (PHL) and Charlotte (CLT) became the largest East Coast gateways to Europe; giving customers access to more than 100 destinations throughout North America with one-stop connections.
With combined operations, the joint business serves 29 destinations in North America and 25 destinations in Europe, operating nearly 100 routes between the two regions.
American’s Headquarters occupies a total of about 1.4 million square feet and is home to more than 4,300 employees. Just a few minutes south of Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Headquarters is at the heart of the airline’s global route network; an important advantage in managing the worldwide enterprise.
When the center first opened in 1957 as the American Airlines Stewardess College, it was one of the first in the industry for centralized training of airline cabin attendants.

Together the facilities have 46 highly-advanced cockpit simulators on-site, representing each aircraft type flown. Each year, American’s pilots “fly” millions of challenging training miles; testing on thousands of emergency scenarios and malfunctions to ensure safety and preparedness.
The Robert W. Baker Integrated Operations Center (IOC) is the central communications center for the world’s largest airline. Opened in September 2015 near Headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, the 149,000-square-foot facility houses more than 1,600 employees who plan, oversee and dispatch more than 1 million annual mainline flights serving more than 140 million customers.
The history of American and the air transportation industry are on display at the C.R. Smith Museum for employees, retirees and the public to experience through interactive hands-on displays. The museum collects artifacts and archival materials that are seen by more than 50,000 visitors per year.
American’s Maintenance & Engineering Center at Tulsa (TUL) is one of the largest and most sophisticated aviation maintenance facilities in the world. With over 5,000 employees, the majority of whom are licensed aircraft and jet engine mechanics, it’s also one of the largest private employers in Oklahoma.
