Creating a stronger airline for you

Through our merger, we're now able to offer you convenient schedule options, a modern fleet and access to more destinations around the globe.

We’ve rolled out these enhanced benefits to you:

  • During the second quarter of 2015, Dividend Miles members will become members of the American Airlines AAdvantage loyalty program. If you are a member of both programs, you will have the opportunity to match your accounts so they can be combined
  • Earn and redeem AAdvantage® miles when flying on American or US Airways, with all eligible travel on either airline counting toward elite status qualification
  • Elite status members enjoy select reciprocal benefits when flying either airline, including First and Business Class check-in, complimentary checked bags and priority security and boarding, and upgrades on the day of departure on US Airways flights when available
  • Access to more than 50 clubs across our combined network
  • Easy access to the combined company's expanded network through our codeshare with US Airways, which allows each airline to sell seats on each other's flights
  • Bringing US Airways into the award-winning oneworld® alliance, offering an easier and more rewarding global travel experience to Europe and beyond
  • Stay connected while you fly with Monthly Traveler and Daily Wi-Fi passes, which are valid on both airlines

What’s happening now

We're giving you the opportunity to let us know if you're a member of both programs, so we can bring your Dividend Miles activity into your AAdvantage account when we combine programs in the second quarter of this year.

If you're a club member, you may have noticed we're renaming the US Airways Club to the Admirals Club. Next year, we'll begin to align club services and amenities across our network.

Executive Platinum and Chairman's Preferred members receive a complimentary alcoholic beverage and snack when travelling in the Main Cabin on both airlines.

Find out what’s next

We plan to bring current Dividend Miles accounts into the AAdvantage program in 2015. That means we will combine your award mileage balances, your Million Miler™ balances, and your elite-qualifying activity from both programs. In the meantime, continue to book travel and earn miles as you normally would. We will follow up with you when we begin the process of integrating accounts, but rest assured your miles and elite status are safe as we work to combine the two programs.

It will take some time to fully integrate our loyalty programs, including everything from the systems that support them to aligning our terms and conditions. We will be sure to keep you updated as changes occur.
